Bought a pair of used Faber 100's. Want to remove PO's initials and other graffiti :fear:, what would you use?
Not exactly sure what he used to mark them, but it doesn't look like paint.

Brake clean, make sure it has a large flammable warning. The non-flammable stuff is worthless. Won't harm the galvanized. Takes off sharpie and paint pen markings.

I've used alcohol swabs. May need quite a few.
Acetone works for some too (I steal it from my wife's cabinet).

On a related note, I added a thin strip of stainless scrap between bands on my doubles and write on it with a Sharpie marker. I keep a can of spray carbonator cleaner and some disposable makeup pads in my van to erase it as needed.

I though about writing it on the bands but it wasn't as protected and kept getting scratched off. These are brand new bottles, the paint doesn't look so good now.
