it's so interesting to see what everyone's different hang-ups are.

i grew up living on the water & have no problem at all peeing in water or getting my face wet or taking my mask off.

but i have sand issues. it takes me forever to get out of gear because i'm brushing everything off a million times to keep the dirt where it belongs! :D the plus side is that places that have picnic tables mean my buddies get treated to a table dance as i get out of my gear on the table, brushing sand off & getting dressed behind a towel...

Can I go dive with you? In the water, I want to be in front. ;)

of course you can! and you can be in front. i'll teach you the 'i gotta pee, hang on a sec' hand signal i use with my buds.

because i can't usually pee and swim at the same time...

I noticed that as well. I'll swim along and with out knowing it, I've stopped and my suit has warmed up quite a bit.

I feel your pain, geeing underwater used to be a challenge for me too. This is what I found that helped me. If I loosened up on my weight belt, and stopped to hang on to a stationery object, I could squeeze with all my might and finally relieve myself. Again, do this at the beginning of the dive, to allow enough time to flush out your wetsuit. And, don't forget to tighten up that weightbelt.

I wouldn't recommend "forcing" a pee stream out. It should just flow out. I know there is a medical reason, I just can't remember why. :)

Three pages of posts about pee.
What is this world coming to? ;o)

I don't have a problem, I pee early and often.

The true dilema is in 40F water? Do I enjoy the warm feeling knowing I am surrounded in pee or flush and withstand the cold water? I think I flushed once and decided pee isn't that bad. :)

I think because of the risk of crapping your wetsuit by mistake... :mooner: :11: :rofl3:
