How to get Hollis DG03 out of wristband?

I just got a Hollis DG03 and am having a lot of difficulty trying to get it out of the wristband. I purchased a DSS bungee mount for it, which requires you to take it out of the original wristband, right?

Try soaking it in hot water for a few minutes. That SHOULD loosen the mounting.

Just make sure that the water isn't too "hot" or else your computer will go crazy.

Let me guess you boiled a computer. Not the worst thing I have heard of someone doing.

That thing was near impossible to get out...ended up using a hairdryer and a few strategic incisions to get the silly boot off.
