How to fix the "Pilling"?

Okay, so people;s wetsuits get abrasions and it results in some patches of fuzz that are otherwise known as "pilling". Given that you have some of this, how can you fix it? Or can you?

Maybe a cool iron with one of those non stick sheets between the neoprene and the iron?

I have one of those little clothes shavers for removing pilling from regular old clothing. It takes the pills right off and doesn't pull the material or anything (looks new once I'm done). I've used it on my BC and wetsuits from time to time - although I don't use it excessively...
