How often do we say "we need a celebrity" to promote scuba?

Z - have you ever been on a dive boat? More than once or twice?

There's no drama... there's no intrigue... there's no social experiment... there's no story line. The boat leaves the dock, motors to the dive site, and everyone but the captain jumps off the boat for an hour. Gradually they return to the boat, where they sit around and eat stale crackers for an hour. Then they all jump off the boat again, only to gradually return. The boat motors back to the dock. Closest to drama might be a broken fin strap... or a clogged head.

This is assuming that what we see on TV is what gets filmed WITHOUT editing. Someone previously said that so-called reality shows are staged. That's true in part. If they aren't professional actors they have to be prodded to say or do something controversial or out-of-the-norm. This is because the average person leads a pathetically boring life. What makes them interesting and entertaining however, is how the various scenes get edited. A good editor will splice and dice to cobble together a sequence of events to change the context to meet the producer's objective. Reality shows should be called un-reality shows.
