Hey guys!

I have a weight belt that I purchased that I would like to get rid of (I lost a significant amount of weight and needed to adjust my weight distribution). I'd like to sell it here on ScubaBoard rather than eBay to avoid the fees and whatnot. I was just wondering what's a reasonable price to ask for it?

Its a 20lb Sea Soft weight belt filled with lead shot that I purchased new in May 2008 for $130 at a dive shop. I used it on 15 dives. Its one like this, only the 20lb version:

Thanks!

Shipping ends up in the cost of acquisition so set asside $15 for flat rate USPS priority mail. Actual will be lightly less. Buying used is attractive to many at 1/2 price delivered leaving $50 for your pocket. You might do better but accept no less.

A local buyer from ScubaBoard or a free CraigsList add may be worth a try with you pocketing the shipping money.

FWIW, on Craigslist, I've been seeing lead shot weights for $1-$2/lb, depending on how desperate one is. I got 34 pounds of soft weights for $2/pound and also 10 pounds of hard weights also for $2/pound. A bare weight belt itself is like $10. So, for a 20 pound belt, I'd say $50, tops.

Good luck!
