I have hundreds of dives at our local sites - many I have been teaching at for years - so I have at least 4-5 sites with over 500 dives per site. I always find new things and something different to see.

Jeni,
Where in MO are you? I have some friends there that may be able to point you to a closer spot.
I dive the local lake here in Arizona. Viz sucks, it is chilly, there is very little life to see and can be a pain with the drunk boaters that don't know what a dive flag means. It is ok though because I am diving! Also, it is great to work on skills since there is nothing to distract you![]()
I don't live in that area, but I would think you could find someplace closer to dive. Have you heard about any of the sites mentioned on ShoreDiving.com? One of the lakes looks quite close to your location.
