I've always used one the op has available, but I've run across a number that weren't working very well and one op that didn't make one available unless you nagged them, they were big believers in "trust us." I'm getting to the point where I may buy one.

Oh Geez... I will never EVER breath a tank that I haven't analyzed myself. With all due respect to the tank monkey who filled my tank, they're not the ones hanging out at 100 feet.

Trust but verify.

I have my own analyzer. Compared to my reg, my drysuit, my doubles set up, my BC, the $200 it cost me isn't worth stressing over. I don't regret it for a second.
