Wasn't there a movie, The Night of the Living Thread, where old threads arise and come to life.

Probably.

Some people are not as situationally aware as to look at the posting history of a thread before posting to see what has been done. I was just trying to tip them off to it so they wouldn't continue to waste their time wondering where the sudden "snorkel frenzy" was coming from.
My bad, let the ignorance continue.

I guess my standards aren't as high as my sense of the obvious is keen.

But thanks for finding this thread so valueless that you needed to post into it anyways

Some observations ...

There are no stupid questions ... although there are plenty of stupid responses.

Topics are only "worn out" for those who have read them.

A board this size gets new members every day. The majority of those are not only new divers, but many are new to how to navigate their way around a board like this one. Even back in 2002, when I joined, finding your way around ScubaBoard was rather intimidating to the uninitiated.

Most folks don't really want to wade through 300+ thousand old threads (if they even know how) to find out what someone thought back in 2006. Most probably don't even know how.

Searching for old answers isn't nearly as much fun as starting a topic and getting fresh ones.

People come here to have fun.

If the topic is worn out to you, don't bother reading it. Let others have a chance to express an opinion ... it's more fun that way ... for everybody.

... Bob (Grateful Diver)

That kind of pragmatic and reasonable thinking has NO PLACE on the internet!

Since we are on the topic of snorkeling...who wants to make it a Sport and go snorkeling at the Farallon Islands? The reefs are incredible there and full of life. Imagine having pinnipeds come zipping past you and seeing up close for a "Once In A Lifetime Experience, Carcharodon carcharias". It would be a heart stopping moment!

Let them revive as many snorkel threads as they want provided they stay away from Warhammer, MOF and exploding tanks.:D

Hey, how about PADI vs. NAUI: which is best?

Exploding tanks are best.

I'm (unfortunately) familiar with the Warhammer, but what's up with MOF? Seen it in a couple of threads now, and I'm uncomfortable with not being in the club...
