Hope the g/f doesn't see this

I forgot what the words are in Mandarin for Merry Chrsitmas but Happy New Year is:

Xin Nian Kuai Le (in pinyin of course) since I can't write the Chinese characters out.

Geez, I guess it is back to the school books again. ;-0 :boom: :bonk:

A fine linguist/programmer by the name of Gerard van Wilgen has a spiffy international dictionary available for free download:

http://www.travlang.com/Ergane/frames-en.html

It supports 57 languages from Afrikaans to Zulu in different word list files.
Support for some languages is limited, there are only 662 words supported in the Yucateco Mayan list for instance. (more than enough to get into trouble)

OK here goes:

German: Froeliche Weihnachten
Thai: Suksan Wan Christmas lae Sawadee Pee Mai
Chuukese: Neekirissimas annim oo iyer seefe feyiyeechi
Tagalog: Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon
Vietnamese:Chuc Mung Giang Sinh
Russian: Pozdrevlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva
Palauan: Ungil Kurisimas
Kosrean: Tok Tapeng
Afrikaans: Geseende Kerfees
Chamorro: Filis Pasgua
Czech: Prejeme Van Vesele Vanoce

The korean translation is "Gipun song tang all".

in Bahasa Melayu (Malay) ...

Selamat Hari Natal - literally Happy Day Christmas.

In my father's language, phonetically, it's Linksmu Kaledas. That's Lithuanian, for those who speak a Baltic language and can't recognize it from the spelling!

For my mother, however, it's Nadolig Llawen.

No matter how it's spelled, or pronounced, I would like to offer each and every one of you my best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Peace!
