Divers in Korea (Seoul)

I moved to Korea last summer, and I’m currently living in Seoul. During the Christmas we went to Saipan where I went diving, and got reminded of how great it is.

I have been searching quite a bit for divers or diving in Korea, but have have found it a bit challenging to find out whether there are anyone arranging trips from Seoul. Does anyone have any good recommendations for dive shops or dive clubs? I would really like to pick it up again.

Also, if you are not in the Seoul area, but based somewhere else in Korea please feel free to reach out as it would be great to have others to meet with.

I visited a year ago. All diving is either east coast or Jeju.

Did you manage to find suitable dive clubs? It seems that I am coming to Korea for a half a year as visiting researcher and it would be a perfect opportunity to do some diving there (all work and no play is not ideal, eh?)

I had two of the worst dives of my (admittedly short) diving career in Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do in 2020

There's a handful of operators that take boats out a short way to Munseom Island and a couple of other islands nearby. I was about 2 years out of practice, and I should've taken a refresher course beforehand, but nearly-die-and-learn, eh?

The operator/boat I went with was really crowded, mediocre equipment, poor briefings, they took no prisoners and weren't particularly interested in helping out novices (as I was at the time). The port and the dive site in general were really busy too - it's no picnic. Just be careful....
