Sorry, after seeing the Lawyer and Military threads, I had to add this one :D

So, if you're MCSE, MCSA, A+ certified super-geek and the C.T.O., or, if you're just the "go-to" when it comes to computers, sound off!

Remember, if it wasn't for us geeks you wouldn't have such great things as PHP.......and the ScubaBoard!

I'm not trolling, I promise... :bonk:

MCSE, A+

Pretty pieces of paper and a little bit of extra spending money as a side job.

Not my career though. I couldn't find work without moving and no other States would have me. :)

Recent CMU CS/Math grad...

Currently doing wavelet analysis, so I guess that counts

Sigh... I can just smell my bretheren now! (Quiver... I'm a firm believer that he clusters at CMU should be hosed down several times daily!)

We got one Kentuckian to get on a plane [his first time] and drive on a highway with exits [also his first time] for an interview.

He moved up.

We got another one that was happy to get out [he was originally from West Virginia... but he's not quite figured out that isn't a defense from kentucky redneck jokes].

Our first Kentuckian is also our first telecommuter, and he's still down there.

Real geeks don't need no stinking Micros$$t certifications...
Heh....I agree....I have none.............yet.

I'm probably going to start my MCSE soon. I've got the 1st book in the series. I still troubleshoot Microsoft problems pretty well without the "piece of paper".

It looks good to some employers, though

Hmmm......so let me revise......

If you fancy yourself as a "computer-wiz", then let's hear from ya!

So where do I send my resume....oh I just posted it...nevermind.

Yes, I am a paper MCSE. But I admit it so that says something doesn't it.

Microsoft terrifies me.

This will be the first year in the last 3 that I'll be forced to use their OS. At least its not on my machine!

This is probably going to start one hell of a stir, but FYI. When I look at resumes and do interviews, microsoft certifications are check boxes in the wrong column.
