Thanks all for inputs. I appreciated them all.

I found the following in the forum archive & share here for your further information:

"Bali Police spokesman Sr. Comr. A.S. Reniban said police were questioning witnesses in the woman's disappearance but had not named suspects. "We're still investigating whether there have been violations of the Criminal Code," he said.
Putu Suardana said that this was the fifth diving disappearance since 2006, the majority of which occurred off Nusa Penida. "

Pughio83, how challenging was Buyuk in your experience? Which dive shop did you go with?

Buyug is nice and definitely easier than Crystal. Currents usually run in on direction rather than pulsating or changing around like in other dive sites.

Crystal Bay can be an easy dive when one stays inside the bay. Balinese Divemasters know the dive site well and will get divers to avoid the wall when divers do not have enough mastery of basic skills to dive there... The problem is when divers put too much pressure on guides to see the mola2 at all cost to their own safety!
Also, there are plenty of sites where the molas can be seen. Crystal is not always the best place. The high number of divers there during high season sometimes make it dangerous. So do treacherous currents. We often chose to bypass Crystal when divers are not skilled enough, the conditions are not good, too many boats are on site or there are better chances to see molas elsewhere. Things is we do not have a CRYSTAL ball to see all of this in advance...
IF U KNOW YOUR SKILL LEVEL IS WEAK, DO NOT INSIST ON DIVING THE MOST DIFFICULT SITES... Operators can not know what your skills are like before seeing you under water.

With 50 dives and Advanced courses, you should be able to dive Crystal Bay, at least on paper and provided you received proper instruction! Remember that ultimately, as a certified diver, you are responsible for your own safety...
