Another option-instead of using duct tape-is placing neoprene or latex seals in openings of one's wetsuit cuffs and ankle openings.

Generally, wetsuit thermal efficiency is primarily a product of keeping water out and secondarily is the thickness of the suit.

I haven't seen a production wetsuit with latex or neoprene seals but someone must make one.
