ItsBruce:I simply rely on professional courtesy.
Seriously though, I've found that the best device for keeping sharks away is a camera and a great need for shark photos. I've got lots of pictures of shark butts, but very few shark faces.
Seawalker:So what kind of protection do you use while exploring the unpredictable and thrilling waters? I've seen various selections of knives and such, and videos with guys holding electric prods. Anyone carry those? Most of the time it seems I see folks completely "unarmed"Wouldn't they feel vulnerable?
Giant squid. That what scare me.trucker girl:I fear fishing lures more than I fear sharks. Does that make me stupid?
I also fear the boogey man and the monster under my bed more than I fear sharks.
HappyFunBoater:I've considered what I would do if confronted with an aggressive shark. I would spin around, curl up, and try to put my tank between me and the shark. He might still nip me, but he would also get a mouthful of metal. And I don't think a shark biting a tank is enough to rupture it, assuming he's not a 20ft great white, in which case I'm probably screwed.
What do you think? Would that work?
