if there are TWO sharks, then you stab your buddy on the neck and on the knees.
that way, both sharks will have a place to aim for

Don Janni:The knife is listed for $599.95 at www.waspknife.com. Based on what they say the knife on the web site it must be worth every penny.![]()
Diver Dennis:I see that Don. Thanks for the link. $600 ????? Did you see the illustration of the diver fighting the shark? Unbelievable....
BiggDawg:Protection? From what?
The knife is not to protect you from denizens of the deep :shakehead
It really won't help much against sharks...![]()
Cutting instruments, like knives (or better yet, scissors) are for some measure of protection against entanglement. Knives look cool, but are not for fighting (against man, nor beast). James Bond was a joke.
And underwater cattle prods? Oh, please... :1poke:
I wear protection, but it has more to do with exposure or contact with rusted human artifacts, like wrecks. I'll wear gloves. I carry a small knife and ER scissors. I'll wear skins, or rash suit, or other for protection. But I take a buddy alongas protection against "feeling vulnerable." That gives me a 50/50 chance the shark will eat him, instead...:11:

This seems to be my day to talk about old Farallon Industries equipment. They made a thing called a Shark Dart back in the early 1970s. It was a big needle that screwed onto a large CO2 cartridge (I found a shot on the web of the small model) and terminated either in a handle or a pole (if the darn photos were working I'd post a picture of the Magnum model). I had occasion to have to use one thirty years ago, and it worked well. As I recall it was a $50.00 back then.Diver Dennis:You should look into one of these compressed gas knives.
Walter:What if there are 2 sharks?
Diver Dennis:I think PADI does have a Shark Defense specialty Don...
And before anyone gets upset, I do have PADI AOW....
Jon C:However, ever since I started wearing my new, neoprene g-string speedo, nothing seems to come near.Don't leave home without it....
