Dr. bill its a 2001 post, I remember it back then and pete has been on here since.
.

So where's the post where he asks who to write a check to in order to buy this operation?

2001 thread eh. Well, I must have missed it back then (if I was a member at that time). I was either in Fiji or Tahiti diving in March of 2001 and my Internet access was limited... and costly! I guess D_B must have resurrected the thread since he's probably sitting home on a rainy day like I am.

Welcome to ScubaBoard Pete ... I think you'll like it here :D

That Snoopy avatar says it all :)

I am interested to hear how deep you have gone on air and did you have spare tanks waiting just in case of complications?
Did you have a buddy with you?
Lastly, did you inform the boat or someone other than a diver that you were going deep?

About 120' and around 40 degrees. It was a planned wreck dive, with my regular buddy, and I used a steel 95, and a 30 Cu Ft. pony. I had already run calculations and found that the 30 was enough to get be safely back to the surface at any point, including a deep stop and a safety stop.

I was narced out of my mind and remember being dumb as a stump and quite a bit creeped out. I kept looking at my computer to see how much gas and time I had left, but would immediately forget what I saw and look at it again.

I did 140ft at devils throat in cozumel. There was oxygen on the boat but not spare air underwater. Just so I don't get flamed I believe we came out at about 125' but we all kinda bottomed out around 135-140 just for a second or two. I was always right next to my buddy:)

Did you have a buddy with you? Yes, of course. We were diving with a group of probably 7-8 people + 2 divemasters

Lastly, did you inform the boat or someone other than a diver that you were going deep? Since it was a guided dive, we all knew we were going deep

The joys of the "dark narc"- you get a lot of practice clipping and unclipping your SPG. ;)

That's usually my first physical sign of narcosis ... and it typically happens around 120 fsw if I'm breathing something that doesn't have some helium in it.

Went to 154 FSW on EAN26 once ... won't do it again ... :no
