120 feet is enough for me at this time, and for those of you who don't know, Red killed the chatroom!

What's a gas?

Don't let Fire Diver have any. I think he is looking for an accelerant. ;)

There are no absolute depth limits. First of all, the relativist in me is declaring there are absolutely no absolute depth limits. That is an absolute statement. The statement is logically contradictory. If the statement is true, there is, in fact, an absolute – and we all know that there are absolutely no absolutes. Makes my head hurt, too much time on the evolution thread.

I didn't kill it. I was transported to the "twilight zone" chatroom and found Hockeynut and Alcina. I couldn't get back to reality and no it wasn't nitrous oxide! :D

For me, on Air is around 150' or so. Past that, I want mix and am comfortable going to 225' or so as of now. In the last month or so had to turn down some great wreck diving in Lake Huron because all the wrecks were 180'-210' and I had a two days timeframe and logistically couldn't get mix. (The other divers did the dives on air)

Mike

I think you made the right decision. I don't know who the other divers are but be careful who you hang out with. Of course, you of all people already know what I have to say in that regard.

Go over to Peoples Welding and get some bottles of gas...it doesn't cost that much. Get a fill whip, get your mix started and then get it topped with air someplace.

You have a blender card and there ARE places around that will give you the air top. If you don't know who, give me a call.

I still have a bunch of He and O2 that I haven't been using that much lately so if you need some let me know. I need to get rid of some bottles anyway.

Have you done much deeper stuff since that trip to Florida with Kevin?

I think we're planning a trip to Missouri soon so give me a call if you're interested. It'll probably be the same old drill...one dive down in the cave and then we'll burn up what's left in the cavern if there's time.

Trimix should be made more easily available to recreational divers. That's part of the point of this thread. A lot of divers are closet deep air divers because they don't have the certification at the tech level. It's a tough class for people who don't want to dive deeper than 180 feet. We have a disconnect in education in the 100-180 foot depth. So people dive deep air and don't talk about it.

Maybe we're just trying to find a way to be legal intoxicated. Ever think of that? huh huh? :D Dude ... let's go dive deep air!
