Your shoulder straps are too tight, part of it is also a skill issue - it takes a bit of practice to wriggle in especially with thicker undergarments.

All of the solutions with sliders etc. just create a problem - the beauty of a fixed harness is that it’s always the same. With adjustable shoulder straps, each dive your tank(s) will be in a different position which is incredibly annoying.

Protip: use the letters on the harness to make sure both shoulder straps are of the same length.

You put a triglide on the strap and it won't tighten past that. And a D-ring on the side so it won't loosen past that either. What problem?

Another vote for loose shoulder straps and tighter waist and crotch strap. Now that I have them in the right place, I have no problem getting in and out, even with dryglove rings, computer, and compass on my wrists.

Getting low while donning and doffing helps too. It’s much easier when your shoulders are at the midpoint of the plate.

For a while I didn’t think I needed a crotch strap either. Now I find it essential. It really helps lock everything in place.

You still have stuff moving between your waist strap and shoulder straps - at least with a one piece harness.

Hi, I have a BPW setup with continuous webbing (like pictured, but mine is Hollis brand).

I just read that some people have it setup so the shoulder straps come looser when the waist belt is unbuckled...? Can someone explain to me how you thread it that way?

Currently, I have a hard time getting in and out of my harness while wearing a neoprene drysuit (that is also just a bit too big for me). So would to know any tips/tricks you have!

(Also, looking to try getting rid of the crotch strap since I don't use DPVs.)

Expensive Solution, but it works for me:

I don't. I used to use the subgravity slider and didn't have stuff moving. Then I scored Eric's plate that has the angled slots so the straps slide without extra help, and I still don't have stuff moving there. 🤷‍♂️

You cannot have a setup like the one pictured as it is the Scubapro S Tek Pro and it has an adjustable webbing setup. Look at their system, it is a nice adjustable one if you want one
