Howdy all. I have a hose question. I just got back from a quarry where I was trying out my new MK25 reg that came with a 7' hose. I am a short guy (5'6") and the hose swallowed me whole. I tried wrapping it around my waist pocket (don't have a can light yet) like I did the 6' hose I had on my Mares that fit me perfectly, but I still had way too much slack and it kept slipping over my head. I ended up having to tuck it into the waist band. This works but is not ideal. This was on a single tank set up. Since the mk25 stage points downward while the mares mr22 I had faces up, there is at least a 6-8 inch difference in where the hose is positioned on my body between the two, meaning that even the 6' may be a bit long for me coming out of the bottom of the mk25. In the next few weeks I am planning on getting a set of doubles, and I understand that a doubles hose config (at least as sold by halcyon) usually uses a 7' hose instead of the 5' sold in the single-tank package. My question is before I run out and buy a shorter hose, how much more hose do you actually need for a doubles rig instead of a single? Does it sound like a 6' would work or do I need to keep the 7' on there? Thanks all.
