I don't have a huge head, but long dreadlocks I needed to fit into a hood so it's essentially the same problem. I had my wetsuit made with an attached hood with the stipe made of an ultra-stretch neoprene (like Henderson's hyperstretch). I had it made my jmj wetsuits, you can find them on the web.
On the same note, I had problems finding a bicycle helmet that fit my hair. The only helmet I found was called the "kinghead" and I refused to buy a helmet with that name (especially not a shiny white helmet) -- it is good for getting people to laugh though.
