My hood fits well, except across my chin. It pulls my chin back and I'm thinking of splitting the seam there and expanding it somehow. Any advice?
Thanks in advance, Andrew.

I took some scissors and slowly and carefully trimmed it to fit better. Better to go slow at it cause you cant add any back later. I do this to all my hoods,

Is it new? Most hoods do relax some after several dives.

I tailored mine a few weeks ago and 2 dives later all i can say is WOW. While the hood was not at all tight (Harvey's Jumbo dry suit hood) it pulled on my jaw to the point of pre-dive anxiety! Thankfully it wasn't an issue in a dive posture.

I ended up slitting the chin seam right down the front for about 2 inches and letting it find where it wanted to be. I then fabricated a neoprene filler allowing for 1/2 inch overlap. Wetsuit cement and nylon thread put it back together. I also stitched a small pucker right below my lip to make the top edge fit perfect. At the wide point I ended up adding a good 1-1/2 inches with the triangular patch.

Any half crafty mortal can pull this off.

i have a similar issue with my hood and what i did was pull it and put it under my chiin as it is new and i am expecting it to loosen a little and this is helping strecth it makes right under your lip a little cold but works if i still have an issue i am going to trim it slightly by removing a little of the chin following the same cut it already has

If you want to try a more passive approach put a soccer ball in the hood and blow it up with the diameter lined up with the area you want to relax. Let it sit for a few days. The effect is not 100% permanent but it can be repeated.
