She'll be watching the real cup in Detroit this June! THEN watch out! You've got a real fan on your hands there.
Detroit? I thought they were in Denver this year? :eyebrow:

Depends, do you think Dave Lewis will ever settle on which streaky goaltender is minding the net?

Seriously, Cujo got the bad end this year and I hope that he can get his cup. How many goalies of his caliber would be willing to finish out the year in the AHL if necessary? I don't know about being the best one out there, but he has to be one of the most professional.

He'll go with whatever goalie is playing the best. I think Cujo's got the nod for the meantime. He looked very good the last series. I think the ankle's completely healed-either that, or he has a huge pain threshhold!

They will be. Only to visit. For 2 games. :crafty:

Thats insane! I take her to ECHL (east coast hockey league) games here, at least they are reasonable at $16 for the EXPENSIVE ticket to see the Florida Everblades playing (http://www.floridaeverblades.com/index2.asp they are finally going to win a division title!). According to my wife the fights are much better and since I get tickets right behind the glass where the ref's come up and talk to the announcers and the penalty boxes one either side, she's happy going to 3 of those vs. 1 Red Wings game.. though she does want to catch them when they come down to miami next year. :)

I'm not sure how many folks have that kind of spare cash. It's really getting crazy.

When they built the new stadium in Toronto, they went with ticket licenses for some of the premium seats. I was told that the license for the best seats were cdn$30,000 each ticket, and then you had to purchase the tickets!!!! Yikes!

They don't play hockey in Miami :eyebrow: - ya gotta go to Tampa. BTW - I like the EverBlades - kinda like the KY ThoroughBlades...

Since the demise of my Dallas Stars last Saturday (rest in pieces), I'm going to have to shift my loyalties to the (gasp) Detroit Red Wings now. I still like to see Brett Hull do well and I was always a big fan of Derian Hatcher before our idiot owner just cast him adrift in that vast ocean of NHL free agency. It's amazing -- I finally get a playoff credential, and I get to use it for exactly one game...

I was halfway hoping for a Colorado-Vancouver pairing in the second round (talk about bad blood), but that didn't happen. So, I'd kinda like to see a Detroit-Tampa Bay Stanley Cup Final. Khabibulin is on fire right now, so that could be very interesting.

All the games have been very good. The best of the 1st round I thought were the VAN - CGY games... what a finish!!! Last nights game was good too... especially if you're a leaf fan.
The next series should be OK, but much quicker. I think DET will take out CGY and COL will defeat SJ(this one should be fun to watch). I'm kinda worried about TB -MNTL though... This could go either way... TB just hasn't proven themselves in the playoffs but that could change... St.Louis is AWESOME! Reminds me of Fluery back when he played for CGY.

I heard on the radio here last night that standing room, yes that's right - standing room tickets were $200+ CDN!!!! Ouch!!!

don't count out the Sharks quite so easily.

BTW, I play Roller Hockey in a local adult league and our team is called the Senators, so I will have to share the picture of the new uni with my teammates.

Wristshot

Thats true wristshot... the Sharks have been know for upsetting teams... I could compile a list but it would be too long;) Whomever wins, it will be a fun series to watch...

Oh... and

!!!GO LEAFS GO!!!
