Ello Liv!!!! Was hoping you would be here!! I don't know where to look to see who is in a thread or even if I can.

We are having a blast!! Met tons of people from SB, got a ton of swag, and entering every raffle.
The drive here was full debauchery and what goes on in the backseat stays in the backseat!

A lot depends on the instructor. There are many instructors out there that dont do much diving beyond teaching, and therefore never gain any practical experience.

Yes ... a lot does depend on the instructor, however a lot also has to do with the diveshop and the allocated time.

When I did my course the way the instructor determined if you passed was "would you be happy to dive with this person as a buddy?"

now we go to the You owe it to me attitude again... I run into this at work... I paid for the course... I attended "You owe it to me to pass me!" sad when it seems more and more areas are too afraid to lose business by requiring honest effort and competence
