I have taken DandyDon's advice and moved this to its own spot so I could officially say Hi to all. :)

My name is Pat and I have been O/W since 1991 when I got certified on Oahu while stationed at Pearl Harbor. Since then I have also acquired AO/W and Nitrox.

I currently reside in Central Florida and just got back from an outstanding trip to Key Largo. Had the opportunity to dive the Spiegel sans current and enjoyed the Benwood at night – so many colorful parrot fish – so little time.

I have a 13 year old son (going on twenty…) and four wonderful, persnickety cats – all five beasties are equally spoiled… My son has recently completed his O/W and it is a joy to watch him begin to relax uderwater and enjoy himself.

I am preparing to take a cavern class next month and am slowly planning and working out a budget to certify for cave diving down the line (no pun intended...really). Any advice would be greatly appreciated – I have been impressed with the quantity and quality of info available on this board since a friend first introduced me to it a few months ago.

And welcome to the Party Line. Good place to chat between dives...

Boy, that Gulf Stream can wander. First time I dove the Grove, we were like flags :flags: in a strong wind hanging onto the mooring line going down. Did it again 4 days later, in no current at all. Want to do it again with a bigger bottle, and a buddy who won't blow thru his air as fast as my last two boat-pick partners. It's a BIG ship!

There's a Singles Dive Trip :partyon: coming your way in February sometime, to somewhere in Florida or Bahamas. If you're interested and qualified (single), it'll be a hoot. Watch for news on the Board. :read:
