Hi, I'm a newly certified OW Diver in Austin

Hi, I just get my OW certification last week in my home country Malaysia. I'll be back in Austin in about a month or so for my Fall semester at UT. So is there any groups in Austin that usually hold any diving trips? I really2 would like to join since I wanna make full use of my OW cert :10: . Hope you guys can help.. thanks..

najibest--the is a scuba club at UT--you might want to check that out. They dive a lot out a Lake Travis, and set up other trips (spring break and such) as well.

Our dive club goes out to lake travis every wednesday during the summer. We meet at Dive World II (Formerly Dive Texas) at 6:00pm, then head out to a location on the lake. Dive World gives us free air fills and half price rentals for the club dives. Come out and join us, everyone is welcome.

You should be just in time for our Lake Travis Cleanup [Sept 26th I think] - - and hopefully you can meet lots of SCUBABoard folks to dive with there,

I do my diving through Oak Hill SCUBA - We try to do a Dive Picnic every couple of weeks at Windy Point. I've noticed lately that it seems to be the whole crowd assembling around whatever classes we have and pairing up for fun dives. You would be welcome!

I think most of the local shops have some equivilent excursion.

Where are you from? My wife is from Taiping, and we have relatives in KL & Singapore.
