Hi everyone!

I am a 'newbie' diver from Australia and have been certified since october. I am finding that a little padi 'discover scuba diving' adventure while holidaying in queensland has turned into a quite a passion.

I still get a little anxious before a boat dive (shore dives are fine), and am not particularly fond of the deeper descents......(or ascents for that matter...i like it down there.....its a bit of a shock coming back to the surface!).

Welcome on (Scuba)Board!

Ah to live in the land of Oz with the GBR, the Coral Sea, Ningaloo Reef... it brings tears to my eyes. Why you folks even have kelp forests in the south. Would love to move there but with the devaluation of the dollar it doesn't make as much sense as it did a few years ago.

It's wonderful to have passion in one's life... and I'm referring to diving!

Hey Lissette,

A big hello from California. I too have recently become passionate about diving and can empathize with the thrill and anxiety.

Happy diving.
