Henderson Tropical Hood & Mask Fit

I just bought 3mm Henderson Tropical Hood size large. It fits well on my head but it doesn't fit well at all with my mask. It doesn't seem like they cut a wide enough hole for the face and the hood keeps interfering with my mask so that it doesn't seal. Should I have gone with a larger size?

Does anybody else have this problem with this hood?

Put the mask on then pull the hood over the skirt. If the hood doesn't have any vent holes you may have to create some small holes on top to let air out when clearing your mask. Otherwise, you'll get a severe balloon head going.
