Here is what we (Divers Lodge Lembeh) advice:
We always used to answer "don't know" when our guests were asking about the amount of tip they should leave for the staff. But ofcourse that is not a very satisfying answer.
Well here is our procedure: we write the tips together with the name of the guests on a list for our our staff to be read. The number of employees working here is about 40 people. The tips are equally divided between them. Each person same amount.
Our suggestion is Euro 3, - up to Euro 8, - per day you stayed here. Depending how satified you are with our staff.
Please do not tip anybody of our staff personally. Not even when they found the pygmy mimic whaleshark for you.
