Hello. My name is James I'm from the Daytona beach area and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good spearfishing/free diving spots in central Florida? I was also wondering if anyone has any pointers on free diving deeper or longer, breathing tips, swimming tips, etc. I'm new to the world of diving but since I've started I don't feel at home unless I'm in the water. I've probably free dived an hour or more a day for the past 2 months. Im guessing my deepest depth so far to be about 25 feet, so nowhere to deep! Thanks alot guys. James D.

PM Chad Carney here on SB and you will get excellent information on freediving and spearing.

Your on the wrong board for spearfishing information

Spearboard.com is what you want<can I say that?>. Do some research, youll find what you need

Jrock5,

You're on the right coast, I'm on the left, so I can't advise you on sites.

Be sure to check out this website... Welcome to Dive Wise - the Freediving Education Initiative see the safety info & video.

Get some freedive training if you can afford it... you really can't afford not to.

Check the freedive sections here and on Spearboard.

Chad

hey, dont listen to half of these guys ,they like to kidd.first off you have to quit smokeing those LUCKY STRIKES.second, your spending way to much week day time in the water.(which means you have to get a regular job.40hrs a week.that will build you up.third, get rid of a dive buddy if you have one, they scare all the game away.and most of the time they will get you in trouble.if you have an old 3 band gun with a break-away tip you'LL due just fine.BYE FOR NOW,YOUR FRIEND,DAVE
