Help me find the right reg!

I am relatively new to diving ( 15 dives )and want to start buying my own equipment. Starting with a reg, how do I find the one that's right for me and not just the one that my LDS stocks.

Just take the advice of all of us strangers on the internet who have no idea what it is you're looking for.

Since you seem to have no pre-determined criteria, which is not necessarily a bad thing, you should try some different regs out if you have the chance. The good news is that practically any reg made by a reputable company is going to work fine and be safe. Unsafe scuba gear would be a lawsuit magnet!
