Hi,
I know this is a really strange message. I’ve got an old Vyper air. Does what it needs to do and no plans to change it. Sadly the boot broke this week. It’s over a decade old. Unfortunately they don’t make them
Anymore. Only for the vyper novo.

Does anyone have an old Vper air / Vyper 2 boot lying around that they’d like to get rid of. Happy to buy it.

The old suunto code is

VYPER 2 BOOT - 100013138

Thanks so much

The attached are template boots for the Vyper, maybe you could get a print of one of these. There are lots of companies that do 3D printing on demand, so you do not need your own printer.

Thanks. Appreciated. Unfortunately, I’m looking for the normal wrist strap boot that covers the buttons. I’ve found a number based boot that fits, but never dived with bungees for a computer and I switch between dry suits and wetsuits

Howdy @Runninglee2000
I have an original Vyper Air and the depth sensor has just failed and it can't be repaired, so I'm happy to let you have the protector boot. It's in great condition and you're welcome to it, as long as you're willing to cover the postage cost, as I'm in Australia.

Message me privately or just post your direct email address and we can work it out.

You disagree @Learner Diver ??

Is that right 🤣

I've only been a member of this forum for less than a week, and that's the funniest thing I've heard in YEARS!!

If you can't visibly discern the different between the 'normal' boot that is used with the Vyper wrist band, and the totally different BUNGEE boot that converts the Vyper into being mounted with bungee cords instead of the wrist band, just like it says in the product description... then you're nobody worth taking advice from.

Wrist mount bungee is an option. But how would I know, I won't get certified till October. If you had noticed, I'm not giving advice, only asking for opinions.

> Wrist mount bungee is an option.

Yeah, but so what @Learner Diver !! That's NOT what the OP was asking about. At no point did they say "I'm looking for the boot to convert my Vyper to wrist mount using bungees". They even provided a picture of what they were looking for and the part number of the exact thing they were after.

All you had to do was Google "VYPER 2 BOOT 100013138" and immediately see what the OP was talking about, then compare that to the 'boot' you found on the Dive Shop Online store and see they were totally different. They even have different part numbers, for goodness sake!

> But how would I know

If you don't know, they why did you feel the need to add your 2cents worth?

> If you had noticed, I'm not giving advice

Garbage! Your advice was "I had no problem finding your boot." and you provided a link to something that was not the thing being requested. Then, when I brought it to your attention that you were wrong, you 'disagreed' with what I said.

You were essentially inferring that it was me who was wrong and that you were right.

> only asking for opinions.

Ask me what my opinion is of you, if it's not already obvious.
