Hey folks,

I'm looking to buy a pair of used Deep 6 Eddy flippers. I've found a seller online who's offering to sell his for $100. He claims they're less than a year old, as good as new and has been used for 'maybe 15' dives. Here are a few of pictures and a video .

Overall they look fine to me but one cause of concern is the bent ridges on the underside of the fins (marked in blue). As long as it's cosmetic damage and doesn't have an impact on the performance, I'm okay with it. Since I'll have to buy these blind (no testing) and get it shipped to a different country, would be great to have your opinion before I pull the trigger.

In short,
1) Should I be concerned about the bent ridges or am I overthinking?
2) Is $100 a fair price for this pair?

Thanks in advance

The Eddy are pretty nigh bulletproof, if these were left in heat with something on top of them they may bend to that shape but it wont affect performance and is also an easy fix with a hair dryer / heat gun if the cosmetics bother you.

Agree with RainPilot. Looks like they're running about $180 new. Not sure how much they would cost to ship to India, but I'd imagine it comes out over $200. If it were me, I would not stress on the slightly warped underside, it's not gonna make a real difference. I love my orange Eddys, I dive them in all conditions, warm or cold. Great fins

This is great to hear, thank you! I'm not bothered about the looks. I'd much rather live with this minor damage than trust myself to attempt fixing it.

Yup, seemed like a great deal since I won't incur the cost of shipping to India because a friend can bring it from the US. As someone who mostly dives in warm water with a rashguard / wetsuit, I've been looking for jetfin style fins without the negative buoyancy and the Eddy's seem like the perfect fit. Thank you!

Just to add one more, the tips and ridges of mine are warped, doesn't matter at all. They're pretty much bulletproof. I love mine.
