Hello,

I've done a couple of intro dives in AUS on the GBR and am currently in Phu Quoc, Vietnam hoping to get certification. Rainbow Divers seem like a good operation.

Any suggestions on the relative merits of a PADI Open Water cert vs the Open Water with National Geographic course content? The NG course looks a bit more theory based (physics etc), but I wonder if those skills are something I could pick up later either by experience or a further course.

I'm not interested in a wham bam, quick cert - in fact, the NG content seems quite useful on that basis - though I wonder if it may be a bit too much information to absorb all at once.

What are your thoughts?

Sorry - first post here, so if I have posted in the wrong forumn please mod me, but please don't flame me.

cheers,

Howdy and welcome to Scubaboard. :admingreet:

Concentrate on safety, whichever you start with. I doubt it matters which.
