We're going to Hawaii in two weeks on our honeymoon staying on Ohua island.

Any diving tips or location advice ya'll might have would be a great help!

Shore diving on North Side - Sharks cove.

Look up Choppersrule (a poster here) and she if she can dive with you.

My wife and I were just there 6 weeks ago. There are alot of beaches to see, and we did some hikes. We went to some great restaurants too. Waikiki beach was bustling with people, there is alot of shopping by the beach. I went surfing one day. We stopped on Oahu after doing a liveaboard in Papua New Guinea.
We have dove on Maui and the Big Island - Hawaii 2 years ago. We did not dive on Oahu, but we have a friend that lives there so I think we still will be able to do that sometime.

Where on the Island will you be staying?

As far as the North Shore....it might no longer be doable in a couple of weeks.

Surfs up Brah! South and west side time. Oahu has some pretty cool wreck diving, something the other isles lack in. BTW, COngrats! and best of luck....

I can do some dives with you all. I like shore diving just because it's free (except the air- which I get unlimited in my own tanks for $10 a month) but can do boat diving anytime also. Maybe we can all get together with Justleesa and Turtleguy for some dives. The 25th (sept.) I will by kayaking to Chinaman's Hat with my daughter. I am available during the week. If interested PM me and I will send you my phone number.

If you guys are coming soon the North Shore still looks ok...for another week or so. If ChoppersRule can't make it I can probably go.

Looks like there's going to be several 2-3 days early next week. The forecast predicts Sunday with the best conditions (0-2) so far.

According to the date Libby posted, looks like they'll be here the first week of October or thereabouts. Conditions will probably be no good by then.

There are other shore diving sites around the island that are ok later in the year, but (to me, at least) they are not easy dives on the top side. Bluemagoo coined them as "billygoat dives" - I have to agree.

Yep, billygoat diving they are. I watched KGMB 9 news last night with Guy Hagi and if those 2 storms hit us there won't be any diving around the entire island. If they hit is is suppose to be the end of next week. Who knows what will happen. Hopefully they just move off track and head south. I am suppose to dive south shore tomorrow (saturday). Guess they said it was about 15 footers yesterday.

yeah, yesterday was so bad that pretty much all charters were canceled....This morning looked pretty good, but that can change quickly...
