Aloha!

I would like to take the boyfriend/dive buddy to Hawaii for his birthday in Nov. How is the diving there that time of year? Which is better Maui or The Big Island? Thanks for any and all input.

We have no preference on the type of diving we do. We enjoy both shore and boat diving and are avid uw photographers.

One big advantage to Maui is that there's a huge diversity of dive sites, including Maui, Lanai, and Molokini. Maui also has a wide range of land activities to do as well, including a decent night life if you like. Of course the Big Island has the Manta dive and an active volcano.....

It really depends on what you're interested in doing both underwater and topside. Frankly you're in a decent position of not going wrong no matter what you choose. :D
