Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help make my decision a bit easier. It's a tad complicated though because I'd like to satisfy three conditions. (but I'll understand if you don't know about the first one but can only recommend based on the second two)
I'd like to travel somewhere where I can:
1. Attend a conference or expo of sorts, related to the IT industry (preferably smartcards or biometrics). This is so that I can have my work pay for the trip
2. Do some nice diving (duh). I'd like for it to be somewhere warm with nice coral, nice UW scenery and nice fishies.
3. Do some general sight seeing. I'd like for it to be some destination where there is more than just SCUBA to be enjoyed.
One idea that came to mind was to go somewhere in Florida. I've identified an expo or two that might suffice. I have been to Miami, Florida Keys, Everglades and Orlando area before and enjoyed it immensely. Would love to take my wife to Disneyworld, and show her the Florida Keys. I believe there are some good diving spots around the Keys.
Any other suggestions? Perhaps somewhere in Mexico, the Caribbean or South America even? Bear in mind, I'm from South Africa so I actually have little knowledge of sightseeing and scuba options in those parts of the world.
