Question Maldives advice

I am diving in Fuvahmulah Maldives. It is a 90 minute flight from Male.

Tiger shark and other shark diving. My buddy and I rented an apartment so not staying in a resort.

Diving with FDS for 12 diving days. See their video in the link below.

Since you got only 4-5 days I would recommend you don’t fly all the way to the south FVM as you need 18 hrs no-fly time and it will be hard to time your domestic flight together with the International arrival and departure in a way that you don’t lose one more day for the connection. Plenty of options on local islands within a 90min speedboat ride from the Airport jetty. Checkout the other threads in the Maldives forum for whatever you fancy…

Depends on the flight schedules. I will fly back to Male from FVM on the afternoon flight. My Singapore Airlines flight leaves after 11pm
so for me its great. But yeah for others they really need to check the flight schedules.

I am diving in Fuvahmulah Maldives. It is a 90 minute flight from Male.

I have done a day of diving there on Carpe Vita Deep South route, as shown, below.



Then I saw this Behind The Mask video of Fuvahmulah, it blows my mind. I have to dive there for more than a day.



I am coming back to do another Deep South on 20 Feb - 2 Mar, 2025. It’s itinerary includes a day of diving in Fuvahmulah on Blue Voyager. So, this time I add 3 days (9 dives) of diving in Fuvahmulah after disembarking Blue Voyager.

The Maldivian Aero flight schedule works out well. After disembarking from Blue Voyager in Kooddoo, I’ll fly back to Male in the morning and the flight to Fuvahmulah will be in the afternoon on the same day (2 March).

I haven’t been staying there, but I dove in Kurumba dive site twice. It’s a good place for checkout dive if you are in a liveaboard to central Maldives.

My favorite dives within 1 hour from Kurumba are Fish Factory (Kanduoih Giri) and Shark Tank.

I've stayed at Baros in the Maldives. Sort of pricey, but very nice, close to Male, and a beautiful and life filled house reef. If you are looking for something close, and high end, I would recommend it.
