I am purchasing a compass and was wondering if anyone has used the Innovative Scuba one. If so how did it work out for you?

So... Apparently no one uses this. In that case what type of compass do you guys use? And how do you have it mounted?

I use any wrist mounted brand of compass. Usually, whatever is cheapest at the dive store right after I've lost or broken my last one. I hear Suunto compasses are good but I like cheaper ones. I just looked and mine is branded by Oceanic but is probably made by the same company that makes most of the hockey puck sized compasses.

As long as it's a wrist mount, is made for diving, and works that's all that matters (to me).

I used to have a big wrist Suunto SK7 compass. Really nice, but really bulky.

I replaced it by a tiny one which mounts on my computer wrist strap. It's good enough 90% of the time. When things get serious and I need precise angles, I have a slate-mounted SK5 - which I find more convenient to use and allows me to write down bearings easily.

As long as it points north, usually any compass is fine.

1+

Best compass I've ever owned.

Best wishes and good luck with whatever you decide.

what about one you can put on a retractor if you use a wireless air int computer
