This lake looks to be another 45 + or - minutes north on I-35 in OK and to the east of I-35 near Davis/Sulphur OK from Lake Murray just north of the border. It is called Lake of the Arbuckles. ?? :dontknow:

Haven't been there, but have a group of friends who camp there. Judging by their description, it'd be a pretty good lake to dive. Looked around a bit on google and came up with this. I know the camping is good and the lake is cool and clear, so it'd be worth a closer look.

Arbuckle Lake
Lake is currently at 872' of elevation, streambed elevation is 778'. So it should have decent depth too.

Hope this helps,
Eric

I have dove Arbuckle on 3 different occasions. The visibility was around 5 ft at best and less than a 1 ft at the worst. The sites that look the most promising would require a boat. The areas I dove were composed of silty bottom with few features other than the occasional beer can, fishing lure, and one picnic table. There are some areas by the dam that appear to have more underwater features, such as rock walls. If you can get there in early spring before it gets a lot of rain should give you the best chance at some ok visibility.

I have always found Lake Murray more interesting.

If you need any directions on shore access let me know, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks fellows for the insights and information...helps alot! AK

I fished and swam there with my cousins when I was a kid. They lived in Sulphur, OK.

I'd be up to give it a try if you decide to go.
