Hi All:

As it happens, I'm on the road this week visiting clients in central Florida. I'm staying in the Ocala area, commuting down to Brooksville daily.

I had the opportunity to stop by Ginny Springs yesterday and it brought back a lot of memories. Didn't have the time to make it up to Peacock but I was surprised to find that the dive shop on the river in Branford was no more. I always thought that place was so cool.

It also seems to me that this area just isn't as popular as it used to be, because I only saw a handful of divers, even over the weekend?

Anyway, since I'm down here through Friday, how about some recommendations for dive shops to visit? Also, what are some more "popular" cave sites in the area now? I'm free in the afternoons and willing to drive...

THANKS!

I dove Troy Springs Sunday and while it’s not a big cave site it was plenty of fun. It may be a little far from Ocala, but if you haven’t been up to Cave Excursions dive shop you need to check it out too.

There's Manatee Springs, devils den and blue grotto all sort of close to ocala. My grandparents live in brookesville/floral city or something like that.
