Hangers!

This may sound a bit basic, but as the saying goes, "Better to ask the way than go astray." Which are good hangers for BCs, Wetsuit, etc? I saw that scubapro has a hanger, and from the description, you can hang your suit, BC, boots, gloves, reg, dive buddy, lobsters and family pet from it all at the same time!

for wetsuit, bc, boot, glove, hood, reg - UK makes a thick plastic hanger for the wetsuit ($5 i think), for the doodads - a five pronged hanger with a curved thingy at the bottom (for your hood). for regulators - there's a combination bc/regulator hanger - works for both DIN and Yoke.

drysuit - hanging inverted (by the boots) on an s-shaped coathanger contraption (i think this was home made so don't have a picture handy) or over a nice round horizontal pole (works for wetsuits as well ... the pole i mean).

Uncle Pug and several others have recently posted their goldberg-esque dryers/hangers/hampster catchers on the board. Some great stuff made by some very talented, resourceful, demented people.

It has huge shoulders and a tiny hook - so the hook won't stretch out (or even touch) the neck seal on my drysuit. Hang it in the shade to dry, then wax the zips, talc the seals and hang in the garage/recording studio - dark, cool, safe.

The rest of the stuff, after a thorough freshwater dunk, dries in the shade on an aluminum ladder then gets stowed back into the dive bag.

Not high tech but it works.

I bought one of these in weak moment. It does actually work in holding a multitude of items including your reg, but I have alternate drying methods. I use this primarily for my bc now.

Why spend so much money,
i bought some solid wooden hangers for about $2 each and then put some foam pipe lagging around them and then wrapped them in black duck tape "only black works ".these are light sturdy and moulds and keeps to the shoulder shape.You can also vary the size of foam to your particular size suit.
This idea was recomended by my lds who refused to sell me the plastic ones saying theses were cheaper and alot better and thats what he uses ??.

Take a length of 2" plastic pipe slightly wider that flattened suit - thread some string through it and hang up in an A. Drape drysuit over pipe. Cheap and indestructable. Also use it for wetsuits.
