Bad example. There was a similar thread about Halcyon plates not being deburred and cutting the webbing, as my Halcyon did.

PS Is "Fan boy" an Americanism? I've never heard it anywhere else, I'm assuming its a negative term, it sounds a little derogatory, certainly in the context I've seen it. Cheers.
For what it's worth, I have HOG regs, HOG plates, HOG 1st and 2nd gen wings, Halcyon Plates and doubles wing, and Apeks regs. I consider them at different ends of the market - in fact the HOG plate cutting thread is mine. The plates show a definite difference in quality - the Halcyon is a work of beauty, the HOG plates are obviously cheap generic plates made for a price-point.
One example is in the camera world, Nikon, Canon, and Sony all have their fan boys.
Leica and Hasselblad do also....but, owners of those cameras KNOW their stuff is awesome! It's all way out of reach for me. ;-)
Is $700 for a Hasselblad 500C/M a good deal??
