This thing is driving me crazy, Halcyon Italy helped me a lot when I discovered that my Pioneer wing was punctured but today I called them over the phone regarding the sticking SS inflator and they were quite puzzled and replied :"This is the first complain call we receive about our recalled inflator"...

I pointed out that I opened it and that it was rusted and that I wanted a plastic one as a replacement...
They said :"Send it back to us" but this means paying all the p&p and waiting at least a couple of weeks to have the inflator back...

I decided to buy a replacement in my city but apparently nodoby sells them !!!

Believe me, I love the wing but if I cannot find an inflator asap I will not be able to dive next week end or I will have to use the old one hoping that it will not stick again...

Not bad for an expensive piece of gear...

Are you comfortable just disconnecting it? I thought my diving went really well without it....just a thought. Tell your partner. I don't think there is anything wrong with just inflating orally.

I hear ya though.

yes, my last bc, brand x had a bad plastic inflator.

I love my eclipse wing, but after reading all of these comments about the high failure rate of their SS inflator, I'm almost ready to replace my inflator with a scubapro manifold. I'm suprised to hear that they haven't been hit with a lawsuit yet!

I do not even want to think about orally inflating it, the wing costed me nearly 500 USD, is it asking too much wanting the power inflator to work as it should ???

Hope to find a plastic replacement asap and forget this story...

hey, I understand. I am in the same boat.

But you said you might miss a dive...and I was just saying, I dove a year with mine disconnected and rather liked it.

Erik ... any power inflator will fit. I'd take one off an old BCD or something before I'd let it cause me to miss a dive.

Or just take the thing apart and clean it up, following the instructions in Halcyon's Maintenance Manual ...

no, its all good...I am in the same boat., except I have already mailed it all twice. hey you paid 500 dollars but I had to put up with all kinds of grief to get mine.

My plastic inflator on my last non-H bc had major probs too.

I found a Mares inflator but apparently the diameter is smaller than the Halcyon...

Nobody compiled a list of compatible plastic inflators for Halcyon wings ???
