Hey.

Just received my new Pioneer and bp and Cant wait to go diving.
I dive with 8KG so I wanted to remove 4KG from my belt and use pockets on the tank strap. What’s the best way to do so?
Use 4 pockets on each side of the 2 straps
Use 2 pockets opposite each other
Or any other combination

What combination would be better or? And if you have pictures for ur gear please post it; it will help visualize

I use the AL plate (or technically will use :D )

Thanks in advance

Either would work. I would think the two would be just as good as the four, and cheaper..just spread it out.. i.e. one on the top right of the tank and the other on the lower left band - This is how I've mostly seen it done.

That seems good, Another question though is something out there like Halcyon trim weights but not quite $$$$$$$$$ as it, i dont like the XS scuba thing it's just the Velcro does not seem like the right thing to do. Maybe something with a velcro and a buckel

THanks

I use two on each cam band for a total of four pockets. Each holds three pounds max. This gives me the the most options as far as weighting adustment is concerned. Two pockets may be fine... configured as gecko3 mentioned... as long as you need to move no more than six pounds.

I don't know of any pockets as good as the H pockets. I did notice that Oxy has some listed on their web site that look very similar... velcro and buckle. But I don't know if they are actually available and I can't tell from their listing if they are $26 a pair or $26 each. It also fails to describe how much weight the pockets hold. You might want to email Patrick and ask.

hey,

i ve seen ppl put simple led weights on both cam strap between the wings and the harness.
I think thats a neat idea but would it effect wings or the diving in anyway??

I bought two weight pockets for myself for Christmas -- they are made by Trident. They have velcro closures, but the flaps are long and wide and seem quite secure. They were $10 apiece. They are clearly large enough to hold five pounds.

Where you end up putting them will depend a lot on what the weight distribution does to your trim.

I used 2 pockets and put them both on one band. They were positioned at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the tank. Experiment with moving the weights around to help you trim out as best as possible.

Mm though we dont celebrate X-mas here it woud be nice if somebody baught me 2 pockets .... MM well come to think of it i will buy the pockets and that somebody will by the Apeks DS4 with the 2nd stage and stuff.... ahhh keep on dreaming

Well so anyway u guys dont think the led weights thing is a good idea ??

AND MARRY X-MAS for all of u guys

Ive wondered that as well. Is there any reason you couldn't put standard belt weights on the cam bands? I understand pockets allow one to add weight easily but is there any reason you shouldnt/couldnt put standard weights directly on your cam bands?

I don't see any reason why you can't, but if you misjudge and put the wrong size ones in the wrong places, it would be a PITA to take them off and replace them. Pockets make that easy.
