I would like to buy the Halcyon Eclipse BC/ wing set-up and would be interested to know whether it's easy to have serviced/ repaired out of the US?

Per my last message, I originally come from Europe but now live in Asia and have dived pretty much most continents/ many countries over the years.

So, I'd like to make sure I choose a good quality BC/ wing which is straightforward and easy to service/ look after.

Any other brand recommendations would also be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

A halcyon BC setup mostly consists of a backplate and one piece webbing. There is nothing there that would need servicing. As for the wings, they hardly ever fail, the inflator will be the most likely part to do so, and you can change that yourself. A bp/w setup will give you years of carefree diving, keep you more streamlined and as you grow as a diver the whole setup grows with you.

The Inflator on the H wing needs o-rings lubed every 30-50 dives and should have an o-ring replacemnt every year or 2. Nothing that you can't do on your own easily. Only hard part is the inflator button assembly should be secured to 12-14in. lbs. torque and is easy to strip.
