We just got back from Haigh quarry and the diving was great. The vis was well over 30 feet. I measured 35 feet diver to diver and more for larger objects. We were comfortable in 5 mill wet suits above the thermocline at about 30 feet.
The fish life was great too. We saw several Spoonbill and everything else you can imagine.
The zebra muscles have been given the credit for the great vis. As for as I can see they are a small sacrifice for the exceptional vis. They said last year at this time the vis was only 10 feet.
