Well, I'm definately in for Saturday. I'll bring all 3 of my steel 120s (2LP, 1 HP) and both AL80s.

My daughter will not be joining me as she has to work.

I don't plan on diving the AL80s, if anyone needs a tank just reply to claim one or both. All I ask is that at the end of the day you make sure the tank(s) you used are filled before they get loaded back into my vehicle. That way it saves you the hassle of dealing with tank rental and doesn't cost me anything.

BTW the AL80s will accept either DIN or Yoke....

I'll be there. 8 AM works fine. May be gathering a group from Scuba Tank - will let you know. Joe won't be there - he'll be watching the shop.:shakehead:

So, who's gonna drop down the deep hole with me?

I'm hoping at least one diver will want to go off the West Dock, drop to the bottom and follow the back wall around to the deep hole where we can descend to the platform then shoot a compass heading towards the truck (which I've yet to get a chance to see). Depending on remaining air we culd then attempt to return to the West Dock underwater.

I've got to make use of these big tanks I'm lugging around.

8 am is good.

I wont be going to the hole. Hopefully I will be tweaking my drysuit and getting used to it.

See you guys this weekend.

well looking at our schedule at work for the weekend. I'm about 5050....I should know more later in the week....now if i can just make the wife think that it is a good idea to go....

I won't be able to go next weekend, but I can give a water temp report from last weekend.

On the North side, the shallow end, the water is in the low 70's. On the South end, surface temp is in the high 60's, but dips down to 52 under the thermocline. I was told the deep hole was also 52, but I didn't go there. You hit the thermocline at around 25 feet. I would say the viz in general is 10-15 feet, worse in some of the more popular shallow spots. Might open up a bit in other areas. Head east on the North end.

Have a great day! I'll be back again for the Jim Haigh Memorial Dive on the 26th.

I'm gonna pass on the Deep Hole dive as well. Dark and cold just to do dark and cold doesn't sound fun to me. And 52 degrees sounds optomistic. Thursday, going over deep hole, around 50 feet I hit 50 degrees on the computer. Balmy if it was April but I bet on the bottom, Deep hole's in the 40's. Divable but why?

So, who's gonna drop down the deep hole with me?

I will, definitely. I still haven't really pushed the thermal limits of my wetsuit, and I want to see if my reg will freeflow. Besides, I've never been there.
