A gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice
insurance and was on the verge if being burned out. Hoping to try another career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to change careers and become a mechanic. He found out from the local technical college what was involved, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could. >
When the time for the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the
exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%.
Fearing an error, he called the instructor, saying
I don't want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wondered if there had been an error which needed adjusting." The instructor said, "During the exam, you took
the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total mark. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which is also worth 50% of the mark."

The instructor went on to say, " I gave you an
extra 50% because you did all of it through the muffler."

Hmmm. Must have been from New Jersey. 90% of the ob/gyns are threatening to refuse to deliver babies in this state starting next month.
It seems that most doctors can no longer afford the malpractice Insurance.
I have learned that in New Jersey the parents of a baby that they feel is not perfect at birth can sue for not only the money it would take to raise and provide for the child but they can also sue for lost potential income for the lifetime of the new life.

OH Judge...we were going to send our child to law school and he was going to make 50 million dollars over a life time. We are asking for 65 million dollars because we think this child would have really excelled.
Right now there is a giant legal struggle to cap the lawsuit thresholds.

Dude....loved the joke

Oh my, ROTFLMAO.

That was funny, congratulations on becoming a Senior Member, now you might have to start setting an example...yeah right.

For some reason, post #500 ended up being part of an argument on another thread. Pity. Good joke, though.

Yes, CAT is right. That was 499. :(

I never argue with a CAT.

I really am going to make a sincere effort to straighten up my act...not because it says senior member now, but just because I think its time for a change.

:)

Purrrr. That's good, 'cause we're always right and we never listen to humans (or trolls) anyways. :kitty:
(But we are a bit stupid about dangling bits of string...)

Wow. Just don't go too far the other way, eh, or you won't fit in. Remember where you are and this other, classic bit of feline wisdom...
`We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `
or you wouldn't have come here.'
