I’m all for conservation and taking care of the place we live. This bill is none of that. I love how it is pitched as bipartisan support. Look through the bill sponsors list. More of the same out of Washington no real solutions. Why not spend all that time and effort to incentivize industry to produce packaging to replace plastics and solve a real problem. Yes the statistics “as presented” are alarming but I am old enough to remember previous obsessions and doomsday predictions that never pan out. I’m still waiting around for my flying car I was supposed to be flying by the year 2000.

I guess I'm being a bit pedantic, but flying cars are actually produced by several manufacturers. You just don't have one. Apparently you spend all your money scuba diving or something silly like that.

its goals are "lets artificially inflate the price of gas, and hope the hope the market can eventually find a way to deal with it"....and then taking the tax and just giving it to random people......

there is no plan, and this isnt solving anything......its passing legislation for the sake of passing legislation....because "at least were doing SOMETHING"

hell, punching holes in drywall is doing SOMETHING...doesnt mean its actually doing anything to help the environment

this is nothing more than lite communism being passed off as a "green" initiative.....dont let them fool you into thinking its anything else.


im all for cleaning the oceans, and utilizing renewable energy.........but this does nothing to achieve either.

Despite the tax rate, most large corporations don’t pay any taxes, and still get corporate welfare.

Just look at what Microsoft just got caught doing.

The oil industry is the most profitable industry and yet US oil companies get 400 Billion a year from the government. Redirecting that corporate welfare to fight CC wouldn’t cost a penny.

With all fairness, that is less of a flying car and more like a drive-able (ish) airplane.
